my father used to always say, if you don't have anything to add to the conversation then SHUT THE F@CK UP! The point is, tolls are IMPORTANT as well as necessary. Now that we've allowed commercial interest to appropriate every public space-it's time to make them pay up!!! Subway entrances are layered in Video ads, Metrocards are emblazoned with clothing ads, sidewalks are cluttered with artists (whom I respect) or street vendors (who i patronize), as are every tree, bench and bandshell of parks. the streets are filled with lemmings in shiny metal boxes. Either jammed in traffic or, like the woman i saw PARKED on E 62 this morning for AN HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES. The majority of them are NOT PAYING and that is ridiculous. Bridge Tolls, Gas Taxes, yes More of all that please. The reality is if we are going to continue to /try/ to support our car culture we're going to need a HELL OF A LOT MORE!!! let the drivers pay,
