Did you read our FAQ page? We contend that bridge tolls will be a "progressive" (in the income-distribution sense) revenue-raiser. Do you have any data that says otherwise?

You seem to think only the rich will pay the toll. Of course that's absurd. But if it were true then at least it would be the rich -- and only the rich -- ponying up the bucks. Excellent. I love the idea of rich drivers paying for my kids' public school education!

Question: why is $7 to drive into Manhattan an outrage? Considering the costs each car-trip imposes on the city (space, noise, fumes, endangerment, ugliness, more gas $$ for Osama and his Saudi brethren), we'd say it's letting the driver off cheap.
