Brooklyn and Queens Support East River Tolls

According to a recent poll conducted by the Quinnipac University Polling Institute, 40% of all New York City voters would choose East River tolls as the best way to close the city's budget gap. See Quinnipiac's press release for the complete poll results and detailed profiles of the respondents.

In fact, respondents from all five boroughs chose tolls as their first choice for raising cash for the city's coffers. According to April Radocchio of Quinnipiac University, the breakdowns by borough are as follows:

9. To balance the city budget, if you had to choose, which
would you prefer -- increasing taxes, increasing subway and
bus fares, or placing tolls on the free East River bridges?
